SANCTION HON. BABA JAMAL MOHAMMED ESQ. FOR BRINGING THE GBA INTO DISREPUTE

The revered nature of the Ghana Bar Association has encouraged the New Ghana to present this letter for your office focal action to set the standard for good governance at the time politicians have turned the key state institution, House of Parliament into a musical chair.

We have seen the sickening swapping of constituency from Salaga to Madina by Hon. Abubakar Boniface .Hon. Ras Mubarak swapped Ablekumah North for Kumbungu and currently Nii Okai Laryea is vying to contest for the Odododiodioo seat. Strangely, was, when one of your member,Baba Jamal is joining such a quagmire-cartel to prey on vulnerable constituency like Nima for selfish political gains which is against the ethics and principles of the Ghana Bar Association . Baba Jamal was a member of Parliament for Akwatia before losing to Hon. Mercy Ama Sey in 2016 He is not a proven residence of Nima but proven residence of Akwatia where he represented. And found a foul play for acquisition of his NDC membership at the East Ayawaso Constituency. Whilst one cant use his both hands to eat food, the organization is hereby calling on your office to sanction Hon. Baba Jamal immediately. TRAMPLING ON A VULNERABLE COMMUNITY Kindly consider that, your office’s punitive action shall send a profound statement to end the on-going bullied swapping of constituencies which has become a pitfall to our democracy. And create the enabling environment for locals to represent their constituencies not big-wig outsiders. END BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION The organization was established to promote governance and advocate against the bribery of party executives by rich political elites to buy their way as member of parliament. The culture of the highest bidder has no doubt worsened the problem of corruption in Ghana. Thank You. Yours Sincerely, Yahaya Alhassan President
