The New Ghana Social Justice Forum is an incorporated civil society organization registered under the laws of the Republic of Ghana to promote good governance.
The new Ghana forum is to free Ghana from the old and current system of endemic corruption, and state capture by the political elites across the divide to a new system of government that promotes all aspects of good governance such as transparency and accountability, Independent judiciary, media freedom, women empowerment, participations etc.
Ghana which prides itself as a beacon of democracy is worsened by continued abuse of power by the authorities. The use of state securities to arrest and oppress political opponents has always been common in Ghana.
The New Ghana Social Justice Forum is to advocate and sensitize the general public not to be subjects and disciples of political leaders or parties but stand for the New Ghana public awareness campaign for future generations against the looting and stealing of public funds by the elites. There is no doubt people are scavenging for political positions not to serve the public but rather to amass wealth overnight.
The 75 properties contained in Sir John’s will, and Eugine Arhin’s acquired wealth within a short period following court divorce revelations point to how the elites are firmly stealing state properties at the detriment of the general public with no compassion.
The current system has made anti-corruption campaigners victims which are supported by the culture of a compromised media silence and the big voices. The social justice forum is obliged to publicly stand with such personalities to embolden their effort. And including, protecting or advocating for the rights of the very vulnerable in society with toleration without discriminations such as our work to close witch camps in Ghana.
Ghana is corrupt which is more compounded by the visible and vicious culture of the highest bidder bribed by MPs to party executives before getting the nod to represent a political party enhanced corruption.
That is why the new Ghana is currently campaigning for the reduction of parliamentary terms to just two like presidential, to reduce corruption at primaries, and also, to end the era of demigods and untouchables in Ghanaian politics.
The campaign includes laws for all political parties to present 50percent of women during general elections to end cultural barriers and intimidation against women for positions .
The move is also to create an enabling environment for every qualified Ghanaian including women to be allowed to represent their constituency.
The organization’s resolute is to change the above-mentioned societal ills by diverting and urging much attention to the very pressing issues such as the school kids under trees, homeless Kayayei girls, a surge of children beggars, mass unemployment, the politics of one big man, nepotism, internet data fraud, rampant road accident, poor drinking water etc.
